An update for our clients
During the past few months we have all had to adapt to a new way of doing things.
Things that at first felt very strange are now becoming the new normal.
Inside the salon we have had to make slight adjustments to the way we book and carry out appointments, to ensure we keep everybody safe and well.
We have always been focused on keeping everyone relaxed, we want to continue this when we reopen, therefore we want to keep a very positive atmosphere within the salon. We will not be discussing 'negative' events, instead we shall be asking what fun things you have had the opportunity to do, if you have found a hidden talent or if you have enjoyed the time at home. This is so that the younger clients feel a sense of normality returning to the world around them.
To prepare anyone that will be coming in to the salon we wanted to let you know what to expect.
We will be following the government advice regarding when we will be allowed to re-open our doors, please keep a look out on our website homepage and on Facebook.
Please arrive at the time of your appointment, or just before and queue outside the salon. If you arrive late this will probably result in you missing your slot due to the strict cleaning routine between each client.
One customer (one adult with child) will be allowed into the salon at a time, please don't bring extra family members or friends with you as this can increase the risk of not following the social distancing guidelines.
Pushchairs, buggies, scooters and bikes must all be left outside the salon.
When you enter the salon you shall be asked to use hand sanitiser, if you have any allergies please bring your own that you can use on arrival.
We will be wearing face shields and masks and have disposable gowns for clients to wear. If you are able to wear a face mask please do so as we want to keep everyone safe. If you have concerns about us wearing face masks due to communication limits please inform us and we will make adjustments, as long as it doesn't affect the health of anyone within the salon.
Feel free to bring snacks from home as we have spent the time individually wrapping the biscuits for the children, one will be given to the child at the end of their appointment.
To limit multiple hands touching the DVD's we shall pick the DVD your child would like, alternatively you can bring an iPad or tablet from home.
At the moment we have removed the toys and books in the waiting area down stairs and in our adult salon there will no longer be any reading material, feel free to bring things from home
After every appointment the chair, sides and desk area will be cleaned down. This will include the equipment that was used for each client.
We will not be able to accept any walk in appointments for now, as we need to prepare the salon before each appointment. To book an appointment you will need to select the book now button on our homepage. We expect our phone line to be busy, so we ask if your able to book your own appointment online please do this. We will have very limited time to answer the phone or return voicemails so please bear with us.
Please be aware that we require 24 hours notice for any changes or cancellations to appointments. Unfortunately we will have to charge for any wasted appointments due to the amount of clients wishing to book in with us. This will be discussed on a case by case situation as we understand things happen that are out of our control.
If anyone in your household has symptoms or becomes unwell please reschedule your appointment, we want to ensure the safety of our clients, our staff and the future of the salon.
Please pay by card where possible to limit the possible spread.
Thank you for your continued support during this time and we can't wait to see you all soon
